The Benicia High School Mural Crew

A sneak peek at Benicia High School's upcoming mural.

For a while now, a group of girls and I have been working on a mural to go up in the science wing of BHS. We've recently just completed the outline drawing, meaning the mural will be up before the school year ends (hopefully).

The mural was originally a nature-themed piece and was going to be placed near a small garden on campus. I'd designed the Mother Nature holding the Earth and it was chosen as the centerpiece for the mural. We began to integrate science themes into the mural to make it more school focused, I guess. The mural completely shifted from nature to science (and a little SciFi). The mural had to be moved from the garden, which was on the English wing, to the science wing.

Of course, I shouldn't take all the credit. The whole group (consisting of: Eden Ritter, Liz Voyvodich, Maddy Brice, Kayla Cotten, and myself) spent countless hours after school designing the science-themed bubbles and rearranging the mural into what it is now. I can't wait to truly get started!
