An Invitation to an October Afternoon of Poetry

Dear Friends,
I invite you to join me at Voices at the Table on Sunday, October 25, for an intimate afternoon of poetry in my home in Vacaville. Please note that our October gathering will begin at 2:30 p.m and our last open mic until 2027.
Closed for the Holidays: November and December
Our featured poets—Louise Moises, Lyrical J, Kevon “Priest” Potts, and Woody Shiflett—will bring their distinct voices to the table. Experience will find its lyric; a new voice will rise into its own light. We will hear the weight a few words can hold, and the ways memory becomes story, then song.
I have always loved the moment when a room grows still around a poet’s voice. Someone pauses, recognizing a piece of their own life in what has been spoken, and the words touch the heart. That is the spirit I hope to share with you.
A champagne reception and refreshments will welcome us as we gather. Come listen, meet the poets, and enjoy the warmth of our shared table.

Sadly, this will be our last open mic for 2026 with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.
But we will be back on January 24, 2027with our kick off open mic for the new year with new poets and new featured musical guests.
