Candidates Sought To Fill Seat On Solano EMS Cooperative Board

Applications are being accepted for the vacancy on a seven-member board.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A healthcare consumer representative is needed on the Solano County Emergency Medical Services Cooperative Board and the county's Emergency Medical Services Agency is accepting applications in an effort to fill the vacant seat.

The SEMSC consists of seven voting members and aims to deliver effective pre-hospital care at a reasonable cost to the people of Solano County by coordinating and maximizing resources.

The County Administrative Officer chairs the board which includes a fire chief, city manager, one physician, two hospital representatives, and the vacant health care consumer representative position.

Regular board meetings are held quarterly on the second Thursday of the month at the Suisun City Council Chambers.

The agency is accepting applications for the board seat — which serves on a volunteer basis — through Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.

To be qualified for the position of Healthcare Consumer Representative, the candidate must be knowledgeable in pre-hospital emergency medical care issues, and be willing to represent the interests of Solano County consumers in achieving high quality and efficient pre-hospital emergency medical care.
