Carquinez, Bay Bridge Toll Plazas Robbed By Suspects In Black Mercedes: CHP

BREAKING: California Highway Patrol is asking members of the public to come forward with any information they may have.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — California Highway Patrol officials say the Carquinez Bridge and San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge toll plazas were robbed Sunday and that the same suspects may be responsible for both incidents.

According to the CHP, the robbery at the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza happened at about 4 a.m. Sunday. The alleged robbers — described as two black men — wore blue or purple latex gloves and were traveling in a black Mercedes S550 sedan.

Then at about 2 p.m. Sunday, a robbery occurred at the Bay Bridge toll plaza in which the suspects and suspect vehicle matched the description of the Carquinez Bridge incident, CHP officials said.

CHP released surveillance images of the suspects and their vehicle, which was further described as having distinct chrome accents and CarMax paper plates.
