Contra Costa Co. Sheriff's Office Seeking Help To ID Theft Suspect

The suspect stole a vehicle and burglarized a Martinez business, said the agency.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who stole a car and burglarized a business in unincorporated Martinez earlier this month.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on July 5, when the suspect took a vehicle and a Victor track-cutting machine from a business in the 200 block of Arthur Road, according to sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee.

The track-cutting machine is used in welding to make precise cuts and is valued at several hundred to several thousand dollars, according to companies that sell the machines.
