Cops Seeking Hit-And-Run Driver: 5 Year Old Struck Monday Afternoon
The incident was on San Marco Street in Fairfield.

A 5-year-old child was severely injured Monday afternoon after a hit-and-run in Fairfield, according to police.
Police said at 4:47 p.m. officers responded to 400 block San Marco Street to reports of a small child being struck by a vehicle.
A witness told police a brown or gold-colored 4-door sedan, possibly driven by a Caucasian man, struck the child in the middle of the street before fleeing westbound on San Marco Street and then southbound on Kidder Avenue.

Police said the child was transported to a hospital for major injuries but is expected to survive.
The collision is under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Fairfield Police Department at (707) 428-7300. No other information was available about the incident.
