Earthquake Log: A Log of Tremors In and Around Benicia, March 5-12, 2012

The week of March 5- 12, 2012 saw two small earthquakes in the Vallejo area as well as four quakes in the El Cerrito area.  The US Geological Survey shows the local earthquakes were very small measuring less than two on the Richter Scale and neither was felt in the area. 

The earthquakes in the El Cerrito area were all clustered near the Mira Vista Golf and Country Club.  The largest was a 4.0-magnitude shaker on Monday, March 5.  The latest quake to hit the area was a 2.3-magnitude quake that hit on Monday, March 12 at about 8 a.m.
