Every September, art lovers and collectors from all over the Bay Area attend Benicia’s most exciting art event: Art Benicia’s Benefit Art Auction! Now in its 20th year, the evening will feature Steve Gizzi as our auctioneer. Join Arts Benicia for an exciting evening of art, food, drinks and fun.
Once again the auction will be held in the historic Clock Tower; we will be serving a selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres to compliment signature cocktails provided by the Rellik Tavern, fine wines and beer. The evening will include our popular silent auction, a photo booth by Michael Van Auken, and a live art auction that will keep guests on the edge of their seats. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy appetizers and peruse the selections of this year’s Silent Auction, which will close at 8:15 pm. BAIC multimedia will be providing tech support for a smooth check-out.
Tickets have been reduced in price this year and are $35 per person and $60 for couples. This event has sold out in years past; don’t miss the action and opportunity to support an important community organization: Arts Benicia! To purchase tickets: please visit the Arts Benicia website at www.artsbenicia.org or contact the gallery at (707-747-0131; info@artsbenicia.org).
Major sponsors this year include The Rellik Tavern who in addition to a cash sponsorship, has donated signature cocktails for the event, BAIC Multimedia & IT Solutions, Benicia Magazine and Jordan Real Estate, Inc.
More information about Arts Benicia:
Like many non-profits, Arts Benicia has been impacted by the economic downturn. Now more than ever Arts Benicia relies heavily upon the revenue generated from this annual benefit event.
For over 20 years, Arts Benicia has served as the hub of Benicia’s large Art community, inspiring artists and the community at large with diverse exhibitions, classes, events and art experiences for children and families. Arts Benicia gives visitors the opportunity to encounter art in many ways: from viewing, to learning, to creating, and the ensuing inspiration that develops reaches far beyond the gallery walls.
Arts Benicia’s ability to stimulate and educate the entire community is reflected in every event and program, from The Art of a Community, the annual open Members’ exhibition, to The Next Generation, which features art work of Benicia children ages 5-18, the growing Children’s Gallery Program that engages local families and schools, to the off-site Arts Benicia Presents exhibitions around town. Arts Benicia’s regional recognition as a stellar non-profit Arts organization continues to play a crucial role in celebrating the Arts as a focal point of Benicia, and enriching the cultural life of the area.
