Benefit in Benicia - San Francisco Sinfonietta

The San Francisco Sinfonietta, directed by its charismatic conductor, Maestro Urs Steiner, is coming to Benicia to perform Mozart’s Requiem and Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony (No. 8). The concert will be Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 4:00 pm at The Clock Tower, 1189 Washington Street, Benicia, CA. This performance, a benefit for Arts Benicia, is a gift from the San Francisco Sinfonietta on the occasion of Arts Benicia’s 25th Anniversary.

Maestro Urs Steiner is renowned as a conductor, guitarist, educator, and composer. He is revered in San Francisco for his annual New Year’s Eve performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the “Ode to Joy”, and his annual sing-along version of Handel’s Messiah at Davies Symphony Hall.

Tickets are $18-$25 and can be purchased in advance at 707.747.0131 or artsbenicia.org/events. The community can remember lost loved ones and friends by having their names included in the program. If you would like to honor someone in this way, please contact Arts Benicia.
