The Benicia Session meets on the 2ND and 4TH Sunday of each month from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Round Table Pizza, 878 Southampton Rd, Benicia, CA, PH (707) 746-7000. This is an open Session and everyone is welcome. Our first hour is a slow session to learn new tunes and practice old ones by playing tunes slower than normal speed. This allows new people to the session to get a feel for the music and gives beginners a chance to play along. The remainder of the session is played at normal tempos.
The August 26, 2012 Benicia Session will again have
Ceol Geal & Coisir Galdhlig (A Gaelic folk group)
join our session. These two groups of 5 women will be traveling to Dunoon, Scotland in October to compete in the Royal National MOD of Scotland which is
the Scottish Gaelic Song Art and Culture Festival. The Benicia Session is a FREE session in which anyone may join in with the music or just sit and listen.
