BrickSpace - Spring Break Camp

SPRING BREAK MINI CAMPS!
Mon, April 1 through Fri, April 5.  
Once Upon a Time – Castle, Knights and Princesses
$25 per builder, $20 for siblings/friends at each camp


LEGO Juniors - 4-6 years old (9am-noon)
Big Kid Camp - 6-10 years old (1pm to 4 pm)


Mini camp includes a  Lego workshop, snack and LEGO play time in the center. Each day has a different engineering and creative challenge. Space is limited! Register today!

Monday, April 1st, 2013
LEGO Junior (9a.m. - 12 p.m.)

Come dress in your medieval outfit! or make one at BrickSpace. Be a  knight or princess. We will learn how to make sturdy structures as you design  and test your castle wall. We will add personal decorations to your castle wall!  Together, with your friends, we will create a big castle. Create a story for  your castle! We will make a shield or crown to take home. Snacks and free play included
LEGO Big Kid Camp (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
Come dress in medieval colors! We will  learn how to make sturdy structures as you design and test your castle wall. You  will build a castle and add personal decorations it!  Create a story for your castle! Build  a cardboard castle to take home. Snacks and free play included.

Tuesday, April 2
LEGO Junior Club (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)

LEGO Big Kid Club (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.)
Help your princess or knight escape the  fiery dragon by flying them through the forest with a zip line runner! Camper  will test different lines (thickness, incline/decline of lines) for speed. Each camper takes home a zip line runner! 

Wednesday, April 3
LEGO Junior Club 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Using a Duplo Simple Machine  kit. The instructor together with the kids will build a fun carousel with wheels and axles for the  castle’s playground.
LEGO Big Kid Club (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.) 
Using a Simple Machine kit.  The builders, working with a partner, will build a fun carousel with wheels and axles for the castle’s playground. Learn about centripetal force and torque to engineer a one-of-a-kind spinning attraction. 

Thursday, April  4
LEGO Junior Club (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
LEGO  Big Kid Club (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.)
Create a catapult that will  fly LEGO bricks across the room to hit the castle! Learn about the principles  of potential and kinetic energy . Each builder takes a catapult home!

Friday, April 5
LEGO Junior Club (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
LEGO Big Kid Club (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.)

The Queen and King challenge the knights and princesses to create unique 3-dimensional structures and objects. Challenges include using  one-size or color bricks, building with a pre-determined number of bricks and  constructing a bridge that can hold 5 pound of weight. Builders learn math  concepts, prediction, estimation, problem solving and communication.
