Exclusive Wildflower Walk at Jepson Prairie

In honor of its 25th anniversary, Solano Land Trust is leading walks at Jepson Prairie and Rush Ranch in April exclusively for members and business partners. But don’t worry. You have time to join!

On April 9, 2011, expert guides will introduce members and business partners to Jepson Prairie’s spring wildflowers and the rare aquatic life in its vernal pools. On this easy, meandering walk, docents will tell visitors why Jepson Prairie was special to legendary Willis Linn Jepson, why it was named a National Natural Landmark and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Solano County, and why it’s at the forefront of conservation biology today.

If you’re not a member yet, it’s easy to become one at www.solanolandtrust.org. Solano Land Trust is celebrating its 25th anniversary by offering new membership at the anniversary rate of $25. Membership contributions help Solano Land Trust preserve working farms, natural areas, and the heritage of this community for generations to come. Since 1986, Solano Land Trust has preserved over 20,000 acres of farmland and natural areas in Solano County.
