Grand Homes of Vallejo Tour

Saturday, December 10, Vallejo's Historic Hertiage District, visit 8 of Vallejo's historic homes; be entertained by musicians from Solano Community Symphony, CA Maritime Cadets are hosting the reception at Dance Unlimited at 510 Georgia Street from 2pm to 4pm with wine and festive food with music by Darrell Edwards on keyboard.

The self-guided tour, all walking distance, highligts: The Halliday House at 721 Georgia Street designed by William A Jones (Vallejo's best architect) image attached, this brown-shingled house was built in 1912. William A Jones also designed the historic Empress Theatre. This L-shape home has inset arched front windows and craftsman inspired cabinetry. There is also a Queen Anne grand home as well as the Megarry Manison, a Georgian style home with tubular columns. Several crafstman homes with their distinct craftsmanship throughout the homes, one was awarded the 2003 City of Vallejo beautification award.

A surprise visit by Santa will be in one of the homes and possibly a Mad Hatter life-size puppet - an entertaining and enlightening day with music, grand homes, and CA Maritime Cadets.
