The 1-hour lecture starts at 7:45; proceeded by a 15 minute current issues session.

PG&E has replaced 99% of electricity meters with smart
meters. But do you know how the utility companies plan to use them? PG&E is proposing “Penalty Pricing” that would penalize customers with higher electricity prices during daytime hours and higher prices during heat waves. The
CA Public Utilities Commission currently is considering adopting these proposals. Since PG&E has been granted a monopoly by the government in this area, competitive pricing by private companies is not an option. Therefore it
is extremely important that the public stays informed and engaged in the regulation of this industry in its future plans.

The Tea Party Patriots is an educational organization
interested in the future direction of out country, our city, and our community. They meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship Church,
at the above address.
