Opening Reception: Girl Scouts of the USA-100 Years Exhibit

The Benicia Historical Museum will celebrate the Centennial of the Girl Scouts of the USA with a special exhibit.

The public is cordially invited to the Benicia Historical Museum opening reception of the “Girl Scouts of the USA-100 Years Exhibit” on Sunday, April 15 at 1 p.m.  The event will begin with a flag ceremony by local Girl Scouts; welcome and introductions by Elizabeth d’Huart, Museum Executive Director; comments by Natasha Curtis, Girl Scout representative; and Ginger Wadsworth, author of the “First Girl Scout”.  

There will be a ribbon cutting to officially open the exhibit.  At 1:45 p.m. Ginger Wadsworth will give a lecture on Juliette Gordon Low who started the Girl Scouts of the USA in 1912.  A book signing will follow.

Refreshments will be served.  Exhibit opening will be free to the public.
