STRING QUARTET DEBUTS AT BENICIA CHURCH IN MATINEE PERFORMANCE
The Santa Margharita String Quartet will perform the works of Hadyn, Dvorak and Bartok at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Benicia on Saturday, December 3rd at 2 pm. The quartet is made up of Clif Foster, violin; Elbert Tsai, violin; Caroline Lee, viola and Michael Graham, cello.
The members of the quartet were brought together by their love of chamber music. While they have performed together before they only recently solidified their dedication to the chamber music repertoire in choosing a name, Santa Margharita, for their quartet.
The program will include Haydn’s Quartet opus 77 no 2 (1799), Dvorak’s Quartet in G major, opus 106 (1895) and Bartok’s String Quartet no 4 (1928).
