Carole Van Aelstyn, BSN, Volunteer Coordinator for Compassion and Choices of Northern California, will present "The Vision of Compassion and Choices" at the Benicia Senior Center. She will explain how her organization reaches out to those who are facing or have friends who are facing the difficulties related to terminal illnesses. In addition, she will gladly answer questions throughout the presentation.
Some terminally-ill individuals are able to experience their last days of life with relative ease. Others have prolonged suffering and want to explore pain management, hospice, comfort care, and other alternatives. It is to these patients that Compassion and Choices offer free counseling and support.
The organization offers a broad range of free services to individuals and their families that are experiencing such difficulties and are under-equipped to handle the ensuing problems. Check out their website www.compassionandchoicesnca.org for more information.
This is a 94510 Presents event and is co-sponsored by the City of Benicia and the Benicia Senior Center .
