Tom O'Hara at Marilyn Citron O'Rourke Art Gallery in Benicia

The Marilyn Citron O'Rourke Art Gallery at the Benicia Public Library is presenting a collection of work by California artist Tom Neill O'Hara on the theme of music, from November 30, 2011 to Jan 4, 2012.
Having studied at California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and at the Royal Academy in London, this accomplished impressionist artist presents a selection of his own personal works in oils, watercolors and gouache. A professional musician himself, O'Hara presents the viewers with an intimate look at the process of extemporaneous expression in music that few artists achieve.
The artist says that he used to think he was painting people playing music but eventually realized that his real subject was notes being born.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 10 am - 9 pm

Friday - Sunday Noon - 6 pm (PacificTime)
