Winterhawk Winery has always supported local nonprofits and has taken their commitment to the community one step further by showcasing a deserving organization at the winery on alternate Sundays throughout the summer and fall. On Sunday, September 4 the Food Bank will be showcased from 1 to 6 pm amidst wine tasting and sales, live music, food and other vendors. Winterhawk will generously donate 20% of their wine sales that day to the Food Bank, while the vendors will donate 10% of their sales.
In addition, there will be live music from 2 to 5 pm by Coast to Coast band. The Food Bank will be conducting a raffle and food donation barrels will be on site and the public is encouraged to bring a nonperishable food donation to the event. This event is one of many ways the public can get involved with local issues related to hunger during September, which is Hunger Action Month. Food Bank staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions and distribute information on how everyone can get involved during Hunger Action Month.
