Fairfield Man Arrested in Suspicion of Shooting Ex-Girlfriend's Brother

Juan Antonio Rodriguez-Reyes and the victim were having a dispute about the relationship between Rodriguez-Reyes and the victim's sister.

Fairfield police on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of the attempted murder shooting of his ex-girlfriend’s brother last weekend, police said.

Juan Antonio Rodriguez-Reyes, 39, of Fairfield, was arrested in a vehicle in the area of San Jose and San Andreas streets around 9:10 p.m., according to police.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday near Anza and Cortez courts in Fairfield. The 31-year-old victim was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
