Fifth Murder-Suicide Reported In Past Month In North, East Bay Areas

Friday night's tragedy involved two brothers, 31 and 29, in Fairfield.

A suspected murder-suicide claimed the lives of two brothers Friday night in Fairfield, according to police.

The Fairfield Police Department was called at approximately 11 p.m. Friday to a home on the 2600 block of Beecham Court by a male stating a family member was shot -- and another family member was the suspected shooter, police said.

Responding officers found two deceased males, 31 and 29, inside the home, police said. Each had gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fairfield department.

Detectives from Fairfield PD’s Major Crimes Unit stated that the incident appears to be a murder-suicide and that the decedents were brothers.

No additional information was released, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
