Flaring Reported By Benicia Valero Refinery
Benicia Fire Department is monitoring the situation.
BENICIA, CA — The Benicia Fire Department issued a level 1 notification and was monitoring air quality Thursday after Benicia Valero Refinery reported some flaring.
The refinery reported 2-3 minutes of flaring Thursday after replacing a piece of equipment, the Benicia Fire Department said.
No off-site health impacts were anticipated from the flaring but staff will continue to monitor the situation, the Benicia Fire Department said at 4:30 p.m.

"We will notify the community if there are any significant changes," said Jed Matcham, hazardous materials liaison for the Benicia Fire Department.
