Lago said that although A. Lago Salon is new, he’s no newcomer to the business.

“I grew up in a salon watching my mother as she worked to support us. I inherited her work ethic.” Lago said his mother, Lucy Gulapa, started working from home and then opened now on Rose Drive. Lago managed Super Image since 2000. With mom’s blessing, he opened A. Lago. Client loyalty, he said, keeps them going.

Lago has a definitive vision for his salon.

“We are family friendly, serving men, women and kids," he said. "We have top-notch stylists, affordable prices and offer the best products available.”

A. Lago Salon offers online booking, email confirmations and text message reminders. For those who prefer the phone, Lago said, that works fine. Salon hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday.
