“We are excited to bring this event to the Vallejo community,” said Dr. Le Chi Pham, president of the Solano County Medical Society and adult medicine physician for Kaiser Permanente. “Our goal is to show that being healthy is not only fun, but that making little changes towards better health can really add up and make a difference. We want everyone to take a step towards getting fit!”
In addition to the “healthy eating, active living” emphasis, Partnership HealthPlan, Area Agency on Aging and the Solano Coalition for Better Health will be on-site to ensure community members have health insurance. They will also help link patients to their primary care physician, as well as educate attendees on how to use their health insurance. Representatives from the health care community will be available to address questions about coverage and benefits, including tips on how to use insurance and preventive services- for themselves and their families.
