High Winds Hitting Benicia-Martinez Bridge

BENICIA, CA — High winds Thursday were hitting Interstate Highway 680 on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge, prompting authorities to issue a traffic advisory. Both northbound and southbound lanes of the bridge are affected at Benicia.

The traffic alert for motorists comes as the Bay Area is under a National Weather Service wind advisory through 4 a.m. Friday.

High winds were also reported Thursday on the Bay Bridge and the Dumbarton Bridge.
