Great Horned Owl Spotted On Local Trail: Photos Of The Day

MARE ISLAND, CA — Patch reader Mark Vihtelic sent in these photos of a horned owl on the San Pablo Bay Trail on Mare Island in Vallejo.

"I was very surprised to see him and find him awake in the middle of the day," Mark wrote in an email to Patch.
