How About A Twilight Hike On Mount Diablo?

Three Fridays worth in June and July ... but RSVPs required.

Mount Diablo Interpretive Association volunteers lead free summer Friday hikes exploring Mount Diablo at twilight.

Fridays: June 26, July 3, and July 31 at 7 p.m.

As the sun begins to set, Denise Wight leads this four-mile, two hour hike starting at Mitchel Canyon, listening for the Common Poorwill and local owls. As twilight turns to dark, hikers may also discover more interesting nocturnal wildlife. Hike is limited to 15 people. Bring flashlight, binoculars and water. Full moon on July 31!
