I-80 Traffic Alert: Dump Truck Spills Gravel

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A cargo spill Tuesday on Interstate Highway 80 east of state Highway 37 in Vallejo prompted authorities to issue a Sig-alert for the area at 11:44 a.m. Three lanes of eastbound I-80 are blocked at the scene, where some type of gravel or glass rocks spilled from a dump truck onto the roadway, according to California Highway Patrol dispatchers.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, which is southeast of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

There was no estimated time as to when the roadway might be cleared and reopened.
