IHOP Restaurant In Fairfield Robbed At Gunpoint

Police are looking for the suspect who wore a fisherman-style hat and drove a truck.

A man who robbed an International House of Pancakes Restaurant at gunpoint Sunday afternoon in Fairfield is on the lam, according to police.

Officers responded at 12:42 p.m. to multiple reports of an armed robbery that had just occurred inside the pancake restaurant, located at 1601 N. Texas St., police said. Witnesses told police the suspect, who was carrying a gun, entered the business and demanded cash from an employee working at the register. He put the money in a bag and then got into a white, full-size pickup truck, police said.

Police described the suspect as approximately 25 years old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing dark, bagging clothing and a fisherman-style hat. The truck was last seen driving west on East Travis Boulevard, police said.
