“I am drawn to acoustic sounds - I suppose I mostly listen to Traditional Irish and Scottish folk music," said Keigher.  "My favorites would probably be Christy Moore, Andy Irvine, Neil Young, Tom Waits and such. The most recent music I’ve listened to and liked is ‘Mumford and Sons.’ "

"Donnie’s tastes are similar, American Country music, Hank Williams Sr. in particular, " he added.

The duo, who will be making  their fourteenth appearance in Benicia, usually perform 3 or 4 original pieces in their program.

Together, Men of Worth blend their voices with harmony and support their collection of songs with their varied selection of instruments. They have a very simple approach to their presentation, and in keeping with tradition, remain true to the music and story. Their show is a unique combination of humor, exciting tunes, and soulful, heartfelt ballads.

“We try to perform the music honestly and stay true to the song and the melody," said Keigher.  "Whether it’s a song written by one of us or someone else we definitely have a ‘Men of Worth’ interpretation.  We  have a good time while performing and hopefully that comes through."

"Donnie was raised speaking Scots Gaelic and has his own unique approach to songs and the music, which is evident on stage," he said.  "I really enjoy providing the rhythm to the song and tunes.  The best part is sitting back and listening to some of the stories Donnie comes out with.”
