Jackknifed Big Rig Temporarily Closes Eastbound Hwy 80 In Solano County

All lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo have reopened this morning following a collision involving a jackknifed big rig.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- All lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo have reopened Thursday morning following a collision involving a jack-knifed big-rig, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The lanes reopened at 10:21 a.m. and the Springs Road on-ramp is also open again, CHP officials said.

The collision involved a 40-foot-long big-rig with an empty trailer and possibly three other vehicles. The collision was first reported at 8:34 a.m. at Highway 80 and Tennessee Street, CHP Officer James Evans
said.

Few details are available so far this morning but a person was extricated successfully and only minor injuries were reported among the people involved.
