Parents of students filled the meeting room at the Benicia Unified School District tonight.  The group originally had planned to speak against the resignation of principal who some say was being forced out of her position.

However, the parents learned before the meeting started that the the resignation had been withdrawn and that Garton would return as principal of Henderson next year.

After the school board had gone into closed session Siino said Garton was well liked at the school by parents.  “As parents we appreciate her no non-sense approach,” said Siino.
