Man Found Dead on Hwy 80 Shoulder Identified

A man found dead on Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo early Sunday morning was identified as a 48-year-old Vallejo resident, according to the Solano County coroner’s office.

The death of Timothy Rachal, who was found on the shoulder of a Highway 80 off-ramp near Interstate Highway 780 at about 7 a.m., is considered suspicious, according to Vallejo police.

The California Highway Patrol and Vallejo police responded there after his death was reported.

Vallejo police said his death appeared to have happened sometime overnight.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of his death.
