Man Killed Allegedly Breaking Into Vallejo Home Identified
The 30-year-old reportedly kicked in a front door when the resident shot him dead Monday afternoon. [Breaking]

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Vallejo police have identified the man who died after he was shot while allegedly trying to break into a residence Monday afternoon as 30-year-old Lamonte Ray Williams II.
Williams has recent addresses in Suisun City and Oakland, police said.
Police got a call around 4:30 p.m. Monday about a home invasion robbery in the 200 block of Reynard Lane in north Vallejo.

The caller said the intruder kicked in the front door of his residence and was inside, Lt. Michael Nichelini said.
The 27-year-old male resident shot the intruder several times and escaped out the second-story
window, Nichelini said.

Williams was taken to a hospital where he died of gunshot wounds.
Police did not release the name of the resident.
