Missing Benicia Woman Located, Police Say

Police learned the elderly woman who suffers from mild dementia had been in a car crash elsewhere in the Bay Area. (Breaking)

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — An 88-year-old Benicia woman who went missing last week after visiting a family member at a Vallejo hospital has since been located, according to Vallejo police. Berte Calvin was reported missing Wednesday, Nov. 22 after she left Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center at 975 Sereno Drive about an hour before her son arrived.

Calvin, who suffers from mild dementia, was located the following day — Thanksgiving — in the South Bay, Vallejo police Lt. Jason Potts told Patch Sunday.

She had been in a car accident in the South Bay, Potts said, without disclosing further details.
