Murder Investigation Underway In Vallejo: Police

A man found suffering from gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital but did not survive, police said.

VALLEJO, CA — A murder investigation is underway in Vallejo after a man was fatally shot Tuesday night, Nov. 5. The shooting was reported at 9:37 p.m. in the 1000 block of Alabama Street, Vallejo police Lt. Fabio Rodriguez said Thursday morning in a news release.

A man was found in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel soon arrived and began life-saving efforts; the victim was rushed to a local hospital where sadly, he died from his injuries, Rodriguez said.

Detectives and crime-scene personnel responded to the scene east of Sonoma Boulevard and began an investigation.

Police did not release the name of the victim Thursday.

"The Vallejo Police Department is encouraging anyone who may be a witness or who has additional information to contact Detective Craig Long at 707-648-4514," Rodriguez said.
