New Business Opening In Solano Square

A new eatery is opening today.

Chantel Sprankle is about to be living a dream.  “I’ve always wanted to open a restaurant,” says the proprietor of Sprankle’s Village Deli, which its doors to the public today at 10 a.m.  “My goal is to be as close to a traditional deli as possible-minus the hanging salamis.”

Sprankle is taking over the space previously occupied by the Village Deli in Solano Square.  On the day before the opening she was at the new business with family friend and Benicia City Treasurer Bob Langston who was setting up the cash register while Sprankle was preparing meat for opening day.

The deli will be open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  It will offer free delivery for orders over $25.  Orders can be placed by email at spranklesvillagedeli@comcast.net or by going to the deli’s Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003377803203.
