North Bay Man Convicted Of Criminal Threats Against Ex-Girlfriend

Joe Silva, 47, called the Vallejo woman 50-60 times in one day and threatened to ram his truck through her house, county prosecutors said.

NORTH BAY, CA — A Solano County Superior Court jury found a Sonoma County man guilty Wednesday of making criminal threats against his ex-girlfriend, a Vallejo woman, and annoying her with telephone calls, according to the Solano County District Attorney's Office. In a case first investigated by the Vallejo Police Department, the DA's Office said Joe Albert Silva, 47, called the victim 50-60 times June 11, 2018, with his demeanor ranging from tearful at times to aggressive hostile and threatening.

"[Silva] repeatedly threatened to ram his truck through her house because the victim did not want to get back together," county prosecutors said. "The victim pleaded with him not to do it, stating that she was at the house with her daughters. The defendant replied that he would do it anyway. The Defendant repeatedly stated that she would not get away with calling the police on him. The victim was in sustained fear and called the police."

The case against Silva was investigated by Vallejo police Officer Jason Bahou and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Roopa Krishna.
