Panther Band: A Big Night for Small Ensembles
Free high school concert will showcase small groups, from trios to octets.
The Benicia High School Panther Band will perform Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Haley Horn Performing Arts building at .
Band members divided themselves into small groups and auditioned in front of band director for the chance to perform in the show. They selected musical pieces that ranged from classical to contemporary. Rumor has it that the trombones selected “Tetris” music.
The concert promises to be another celebration of the joy of music. Martin will have the chance to sit in the audience and enjoy the music as well, at what he calls his "most favorite" concert.
