Pappas Preps for Premiere of Restaurant Impossible

Along with the rest of Benicia, the crew at is excited about the premier of . The episode, airing May 9 at 10 p.m., features the Pappas Restaurant makeover that took place in January. 

To celebrate, Pappas is hosting an exclusive dinner for only 50 guests, by reservation of course. Guests will be treated to a special 5-course menu inspired by

The meal begins with Amuse Bouche, a Hog Island oyster with bloodymary granita followed by Avgolemono, the traditional lemon, chicken and rice soup. Next will be a Merguez sausage stuffed artichoke with spicy tomato fondue. The main course is a pan seared Branzino served with mushroom, artichoke, tomato and lemon sauce. Finally, a dessert of Baklava cheesecake with mountain honey will be served. 

The $50 set menu includes wine with dinner. The evening begins at 7pm and wraps up with the viewing of the "Restaurant Impossible" at 10pm.  As of Monday at 3 p.m. there were a few seats left for the special screening party.
