Parolee Caught On Vallejo Front Porch After Chase: Sheriff
The 38-year-old failed to yield but when a tire came off the car he was driving, he got out and ran, Solano County sheriff's officials said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A parolee at large was taken into custody early Tuesday morning in Vallejo after he led deputies and officers on a brief pursuit, then hid from them, the Solano County Sheriff's Office said. The pursuit started about 1 a.m. Tuesday in an unincorporated part of the city, sheriff's officials said.
The driver, later identified as David Lee Jones Jr., 38, of Madera, reportedly ignored a sheriff's deputy who tried to stop him for a mechanical violation. When the deputy turned on her siren and overhead lights, Jones instead took off in what was determined to a be as stolen car, the sheriff's office said.
The pursuit abruptly ended, however, when the front passenger-side tire came off the car as Jones sped around a corner in a residential area of Vallejo.

Jones was eventually found hiding on the front porch of a residence in the 500 block of Yuba Street in Vallejo, according to the sheriff's office.
Jones was taken into custody without further incident.
After he was treated for some injuries, Jones was booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including violation of Post Release Community Supervision, hit-and-run with property damage, evading police with a disregard for their safety, receiving known stolen property and vehicle theft, the sheriff's office said.
Because of his status as a parolee, he was being held without bail, according to Solano County jail records.
