Patch Poll: What should the high school do about the holiday decorations?
The principal will talk to the leadership class today.

Some students at want the to represent a broader range of religious and cultural traditions than those represented by stockings hung on railings and a decorated tree but the money to pay for decorations has already been spent by the school’s leadership class.
“I talked with and he wasn’t able to talk to the leadership class today. Our intent is to respect all religions and the discussion on Monday will center on that,” said Michael Gardner, Assistant Superintendant on Friday.
According to Gardner, if the leadership class and Jensen are unable to come to an agreement then the holiday decorations will have to come down.

That isn’t the outcome the ACLU Club members want. “I feel as if a lot of people think we’re trying to destroy Christmas when what we are trying to do is to include more people,” said ACLU Club member Erin Robertson.
