Pavement Resurfacing Project To Begin In Benicia

Repaving is planned on nine city roadways. "No Parking" signs will be posted along these streets 72 hours in advance.

The City of Benicia: The City of Benicia 2019 Pavement Resurfacing Project is about to get underway. The City recently awarded the over $1.4-million project to Ghilotti Brothers, Inc. The project, funded by Measure C, Gas Tax, and Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA/SB1), includes pavement resurfacing of the Benicia streets listed below:

  • East 3rd Street (between Hillcrest Avenue & East 3rd Street cul-de-sac)
  • Denfield Avenue
  • West 5th Street (between Military West & West J Street)
  • West 6th Street (between West K Street & Cove Way)
  • West I Street (between West 5th Street & West 6th Street)
  • Shirley Drive (between Raymond Drive & Shirley Drive cul-de-sac)
  • West 2nd Street (between West N & Raymond Drive/Incline Place)
  • Harbor Vista Court
  • Noyes Court
The resurfacing work will begin Monday, August 12, 2019 and will be completed by October 31, 2019. Work will be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. “No Parking” signs will be posted along these streets 72 hours in advance of work being performed and while work is being completed. Efforts will be made to minimize impacts to the residents, businesses and the traveling public. Your patience and cooperation during this time is greatly appreciated.
