Police Pursuit Ends In Solano County
A trio of Walmart theft suspects led officers on a chase from American Canyon to Vallejo, police said.
NORTH BAY, CA — Three East Bay residents are accused of stealing more than $500 in merchandise from a Walmart store and leading American Canyon police officers on a chase into Solano County.
Around 11 p.m. Friday, security personnel at the Walmart Supercenter on Main Street called the American Canyon Police Department to report the grand theft and said the suspected thieves left the Walmart parking lot in a red Hyundai SUV, American Canyon police Chief Rick Greenberg said.
Officers spotted the SUV going southbound on state Highway 29 near Rio Del Mar Drive and attempted to stop it but the SUV kept going, Greenberg said.

The suspects continued southbound on SR-29 into the city of Vallejo where American Canyon officers deployed spike strips at the intersection of SR-29 and Mini Drive, the chief said.
The spike strips worked and the disabled car eventually came to a stop near state Highway 37.
