Power Restored for 20,200 Customers After Storm

Wind was the cause of most of the outages and PG&E crews are working around the clock to trim trees to prevent future outages.

Crews have restored power to about 20,200 PG&E customers in the Bay Area affected by the rainstorm Wednesday night and earlier Thursday, a PG&E spokeswoman said.

The overnight storm knocked out power to 9,400 customers on the Peninsula, 5,800 in the East Bay, 500 in the South Bay, 2,000 in the North Bay, and 2,500 in San Francisco, PG&E spokeswoman Fiona Chan said.

Winds were responsible for most of the outages in the Bay Area, Chan said.
