'Proud Moment' For Benicia Police Dept.: Photos Of The Week

In one of Benicia Police Department's "proudest moments," several new members of the force were sworn in, while others were promoted.

BENICIA, CA — Benicia Police Department shared photos of a special ceremony held Wednesday to welcome its newest members and celebrate a number of promotions.

"This is the largest group we have had in quite some time," Benicia police officials said. "One of the proudest moments that we have as a Police Department is when we can share ourselves with the community and the friends and family members of our staff."

Fifteen employees were sworn in or promoted, including two lieutenants.

Cpl. Alejandro Maravilla
