Run for Education Profile: John Kuta

Long-time soccer player prepares for his first big race.

How old are you? I am 12.

What school do you go to? Benicia Middle School

What grade are you in? 7th grade

How long have you been running? I've been running track for a year but I played soccer for seven years before that.

Have you run a race like this before? I've done the one-mile fun run before.

What are you doing to get ready? I have been training by running, I've gone up to two and a quarter mile.

What else do you do for fun? I play water polo, soccer and basketball... and I go to school.

What do you like about running? It's run, it keeps the energy up and keeps me in shape.

Do you do you think you'll do well in Sunday's race? Yep.
