CHP Confirms 1 Dead In Hwy 4 Collision Outside Martinez
BREAKING: Two vehicles were involved in the westbound lanes east of Franklin Canyon Road.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – One man was killed this morning in a two-vehicle collision on state Highway 4 between Martinez and Hercules, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just after 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes east of Franklin Canyon Road, said CHP spokesman Officer Brandon Correia.
The victim, a man in his 50s from Manteca, was driving a white 2013 Ford work truck when he apparently swerved to possibly avoid debris in the road and began to slow down, Correia said.
