How long have you been in Benicia? Since July.
Where did you grow up? Grew up in Southern California so I went to UC Irvine. After that I went to Cal State Long Beach for my teaching credential.

How did you end up in Benicia? My family lives here in the Bay area. I had visited for a weekend and saw two principal jobs opening up here the next day, so I applied.
How long have you been an educator? Since 1980

Have you always been in elementary school? No. I've taught at all levels from kindergarten to adult education. I even substituted at Cal Poly.
How do you like Mary Farmar? I have the greatest school, the greatest staff, the greatest students and the best view in town.
What do you do for fun? I spend time with my grandson. When I have free time I like to spend it with friends. I do like sports, I do Jazzersice, I have a bike I like to ride, I have a kayak I like to paddle, I like to camp with my son who works in Yosemite.
Do you have any favorite spots in town? I really like the end of First Street where you can walk along the water. I really like Farmer's Market then I just keep on walking down through there and just keep on going.
What do you love about Benicia? I really love the small town feel of it. I love the close-knit community. It feels good for me coming from a small town.
