Solano Co. Hit-And-Run Suspect Sought By Police

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Police are searching for a driver accused of striking an 85-year-old man crossing the street in his wheelchair in Vallejo, injuring him, the Vallejo Police Department said.

Police received a call at 9:07 a.m. Sunday about an injury collision on the 400 block of Redwood Street. Police determined that a white 1980 Plymouth Arrow pickup truck hit the victim. The driver briefly got out of his car but left without giving out his contact information or waiting for police, according to authorities.

The crash victim was hospitalized for his injuries and later released, police said.

Police recovered and impounded the vehicle but haven't found the suspect. Anyone who knows the man's identity or has information is encouraged to contact police at 707-648-4329.
